Store Purina® Garden Recipe® Guinea Pig Diet in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area protected from rodents and insects. Do not feed moldy or insect-infested food as it may cause illness or death. Reseal the package between uses. Best if used within nine months. Freezing will not harm the food and may extend freshness.

Feeding

Offer Purina® Garden Recipe® Guinea Pig Diet free-choice in an appropriate self-feeder (bowls are not recommended as the animals may sit in them and contaminate the food). Replace with fresh food daily and discard food older than 24 hours before filling. When starting a new food, always mix the new food with the food you’re currently using, gradually increasing the amount of the new food while decreasing an equal amount of the old, over a period of 7-10 days to avoid digestive upset. Always provide plenty of fresh, clean water.
