Closed July 4th

Both Kissimmee Valley Feed locations are closed on Monday, July 4th, 2022, in observance of Independence Day. We will resume regular business hours on Tuesday. We hope you and your family have a wonderful and safe 4th of July!

July 4th Fun Facts:

July 4th is referred to as the Fourth of July and Independence Day. It has been a federal holiday in the United States since 1941.

However, the tradition of Fourth of July celebrations goes back to the 18th century and the American Revolution (1775-83). In June 1776, representatives of the 13 colonies fighting in the revolutionary struggle weighed a resolution to declare their independence from Great Britain.

On July 2nd, the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence. As a result, two days later its delegates adopted the Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson drafted the historic document.

In conclusion, July 4th has been celebrated as the birth of American independence from 1776 until the present day. Nowadays, typical festivities range from fireworks, parades, and concerts to more casual family gatherings and barbecues.
